LOUISIANA II - New Orleans
Welcome to the LOUISIANA II Chapter of the BLUE KNIGHTS® International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. The Blue Knights® are a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement men and woman who enjoy riding motorcycles. We are comprised of local law enforcement, State Police, DEA, FBI, Homeland Security, Secret Service, and the U.S. Marshall’s Office, just to name a few of the departments. The LOUISIANA II Chapter was founded in December of 1989 and it covers the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area/River Region which includes Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, Plaquemines Parish, St. Bernard Parish, St. Charles Parish,
St. James Parish, St. John the Baptist Parish, and St Tammy Parish.
Our 14 charter members were: Bob Wimpey, Larry Ambramson, John McCoy,
Dan Russell, Ronnie Vidrine, Bob Williams, Richard Ryen, Larry Robert,
Earl Blache, Bob Magaletta, Neil Lomheim, Dan Moeser, Dave Morel and
George "Magoo" Migliore.
Membership is open to active & retired law enforcement motorcycle owner/riders with the sponsorship of an active member. We are an open chapter and allow members' guest and family to participate in rides & events.
If someone is interested in getting involved but they are not Police Officers and can not become members, we have a “Guest List Request” form that can be obtained from an active member.
Our MONTHLY MEETING is held on the 2nd MONDAY of the month at the
St. Rose Travel Center (truck stop & casino) on E. Airline Hwy and Riverbend Drive, St Rose, LA. We gather for dinner at 6:30 PM in the meeting room adjoining the main restaurant and start the chapter meeting for 7:30 PM.
Our MONTHLY RIDE is held every 3rd SATURDAY of the month.
We meet at McDonald's, 5315 Veterans Memorial Blvd. (corner of Green Acres & west of Transcontinental Blvd.), Metairie, LA.
We meet for 10:00 AM & Depart at 10:30 AM.
NOTE: April's ride will be moved to the 4th Saturday due to The SRC in Cocoa Beach, Fl.
Our MONTHLY DINNER RIDE is held the Last TUESDAY of the month. We meet at Lafreniere Park, 6700 Madewood Drive, Metairie, LA. (corner of Downs Blvd. & Veterans Memorial Blvd. west of I-10), We meet for 6:30 PM & Depart at 7:00 PM.
We are blessed with "year-round" riding weather and
a great diversity of ride destinations and events to attend.
We welcome ALL riders.
What you ride doesn't matter---what matters is that you RIDE!
